Job ResponsibilitiesAre you passionate about safe and environmentally friendly shipping? Are you an initiative-taking, open, and communicative person with a high degree of service mindset? We are now looking for engaged personnel for our yellow road ferries - be part of making Sweden closer. The ferry company is undergoing a transformation process towards electrification, climate adaptation, automation, and digitalization, where you will play an important role in this journey. We are currently seeking a motorist/deckhand for Blidöleden in the Stockholm archipelago. Blidöleden runs between Yxland and Blidö. The ferry route is 530 meters long, and the crossing time is four minutes.
The job includes maintenance and repair work, checking that the ferry's machinery is seaworthy, as well as loading and unloading. It also involves regularly operating the ferry in traffic under the supervision of the captain to maintain this capability.

QualificationsYou will work closely with the captain, which places high demands on your ability to collaborate. We prefer that you are technically skilled with analytical problem-solving abilities and have an interest in taking greater responsibility for the technical operations on board.
On board the ferry, you are also our face to the public, which requires a high degree of service mindset.
You are motivated by an active partnership where you responsibly take charge of your tasks while being attentive to how you are part of and contribute to the whole by collaborating with others.
We are looking for someone who
- has at least six months of service on deck or in the engine room, or alternatively, a high school energy program with a focus on maritime technology or a vocational training in maritime studies leading to a position as a junior deckhand or watchkeeping engine personnel
- has a B-engineer certificate or, at a minimum, a class VIII officer certificate
- has completed basic safety training according to STCW Manila
- has a valid medical certificate for seafarers with deck service, at least for inland waters
- is experienced in using digital tools and support systems
- speaks and writes Swedish fluently
It is advantageous if you
- have higher qualifications/training or other experience that we consider relevant
- have experience with maintenance systems such as AMOS
- have experience working on road ferries

The ferry company is Sweden's largest shipping company with around 70 road ferries operating over 40 ferry routes. When the water freezes in the northern parts of our country, we are also responsible for the operation and maintenance of ice roads. With a permanent position at the ferry company, there is an obligation to be placed in wartime.
