Description

The Department of Technology and Leisure promotes public health, and together we operate two of Sweden's most modern swimming pools with experiences for all ages.

Säffle swimming pool has a 50-meter swimming pool, warm pool, multi-pool, children's pool, and a relaxation area. We also operate Säffle's largest sports hall, Tegnérhallen.

Åmål swimming pool has a 25-meter swimming pool, teaching/play pool, rehabilitation pool, hot tub, and a slide.

Responsibilities

As a swimming attendant, you are our face to the public and ensure that our visitors feel welcome and have a safe and secure stay. We are looking for someone who is service-oriented and can provide a good reception in all situations. We conduct group training in water, baby swimming, swimming school, and spa, where you should be able to conduct all activities.

As a person, you should enjoy taking on new challenges and be willing to try new things. Certain holiday activities may also occur where we want to entertain all our guests with games, challenges, and activities - only your imagination sets the limits.

Other important tasks include supervising the pool and cleaning our facilities to create a safe and secure environment for our guests. Initiative and an eye for detail are desirable qualities. You may also be responsible for booking training sessions and competitions in our facilities, as well as leading swimming school, group training in water, baby swimming, and spa rituals in the relaxation area, which requires commitment and good leadership. Another important task is to be there for our guests and ensure that our comfort rules are followed so that everyone has as pleasant a visit as possible with us.

Evening and weekend shifts are scheduled.

Two (2) positions are based in Säffle. One (1) position is based in Åmål. The employment may involve work at both Säffle's and Åmål's swimming pools.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an active lifestyle and an interest in public health, who can help us build the activity offerings of the organization. You should be attracted to the idea of teaching both young and old to find joy and safety in water.

Health/wellness education, pedagogical education, lifeguard training, swimming instructor training, pool lifeguard, or other equivalent education is desirable. Experience working in a swimming pool is also a plus.

As a person, you are responsible and solution-oriented with good collaboration skills. You are drawn to work in a service profession that places high demands on you when interacting with our guests. You are a confident person who can work both independently and in a team, and you are not afraid to express your opinion. Sometimes the pace is high, so you should be stress-resistant and able to remain calm in situations where unexpected things may happen.

Your computer skills are good.

The job requires you to have good physical fitness.

A driver's license (B) is required.
