Falkenberg Parish is looking for cemetery workers for the 2026 season

For the 2026 season, Falkenberg Parish is looking for cemetery workers for various areas of the parish.

As a cemetery worker, you will perform various tasks related to green space maintenance, with the responsibility of keeping our cemeteries in good and well-maintained condition. The job also includes participation in grave digging and backfilling of graves. You may also be required to serve at funeral ceremonies. You will work both in teams and independently, and you will meet several of our visitors daily. The work can at times be physically demanding as heavy lifting is involved.

The job includes the care and maintenance of our cemeteries in Falkenberg Parish. The following positions are available:

• Skogs-/kapell-/Skrea cemeteries are looking for 5 seasonal workers and 3 summer workers at 100%
• Torup is looking for 2 summer workers at 100%
• Okome is looking for 1 summer worker at 100%
• Vinberg/Ljungby cemeteries are looking for 2 summer workers at 75%

The work is scheduled for weekdays with the possibility of flexible working hours. If you are applying for a seasonal position, the first day of employment is tentatively at the beginning of April. The seasonal employment initially lasts for 5 months, with good chances of extension. Summer jobs are available by agreement during June - August.

Qualifications

We expect that you, as an applicant, have a green education in landscaping and green space maintenance and experience from similar work, where it is highly meritorious if you have previously worked as a cemetery worker. You have good physical capacity and enjoy working both in teams and independently. In this position, you will use several machines and tools, so we wish for you to have some technical knowledge or experience with machinery. To be eligible for seasonal work, you need to have a B driver's license.

As a person, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and maintain a high pace, but you also have the ability to be meticulous at the same time. You have a good overall perspective, take natural responsibility for your work, and can prioritize when necessary. Since you will meet several of our visitors and work in teams, we want you to have well-developed social skills.
