For the summer of 2026, we are looking for you who want to work as a nursing assistant or care assistant in Health and Medical Care Team 11 at Ekhagen Guesthouse and Lönnen Short-Term Unit.

Your Summer Job

Health and Medical Care Team 11 is part of the Health and Medical Care function in Jönköping Municipality. The team focuses on citizens who need palliative care or have extensive care and medical support needs. There are a total of 19 short-term places and a dedicated team that puts the citizen at the center.

As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you are responsible for the care of the citizens who are with us. You work based on the individual’s needs, conditions, and wishes, and perform delegated health and medical care tasks on the initiative of licensed personnel. The role also includes documentation in the operational system Combine. Other tasks may also occur. You will closely collaborate with various professionals such as nurses, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation assistants.

Who Are You?

• You are a trained nursing assistant
• Experience in healthcare and social care is an advantage
• If you lack nursing assistant training but have experience in healthcare and social care or another relevant area, you can work as a care assistant
• You master Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension as it involves communicating with citizens and relatives, reading information related to the work, and documenting
• You have good computer skills
• To work with us, you need to be at least 18 years old

As a person, you are structured and self-driven, with the ability to plan your work and make independent decisions. You are flexible and can easily adapt when circumstances change. It is important that you value and enjoy collaborating and contributing to a good working climate with colleagues.

Your Future Workplace

The Health and Medical Care function in Jönköping Municipality consists of 13 health and medical care teams and a home team that works with home healthcare and home rehabilitation in both regular and special housing. Team 11's short-term places are located at Ekhagen, close to both nature and good transport links, with no travel required in the position.

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns summer substitutes for our vacation period, which runs from week 25 to 34. We prefer that you can work at least six consecutive weeks during the summer.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays and weekends, either day/evening or night. For those who show initiative, there may also be opportunities for continued employment after the summer.

Selection begins in January, and interviews and appointments will take place continuously during the application period.

Upon employment, you must submit an approved extract from the police criminal record in a sealed envelope to the recruiting manager. Order one from the police website at the same time you submit your application, using the form "Check of Own Information".
