About the Unit:

Logistics Unit Stockholm is a unit at the Life Guards that supports military units from the operational locations of Stockholm, Solna, and Kungsängen.

The unit currently consists of a Staff, a Technical Department, a Supply Department in Stockholm, a Supply Department in Kungsängen, and a Mobilization Department. The Logistics Unit contributes to a stronger defense force through well-functioning logistics, unit-close storage, supply provision, and ordering of material maintenance in peace, during readiness increases, and in war. The Armed Forces, and particularly Logistics Unit Stockholm, are growing in several different areas.

Main Responsibilities

• You will be part of the Supply Department Kungsängen's management team, which includes leading and developing the department's work teams and routines
• In collaboration with the section manager, lead and plan the work within the section
• Collaborate with other section managers within your department
• Participate in other functions, networks, and activities that are a natural task in an organization with distributed delegation
• Work in another section/department may occur
• Outdoor storage work in all weather conditions and heavy lifting
• Ensure that laws and regulations are followed within the section
• Follow up on the reporting of supplies in the Armed Forces' accounting system on an ongoing basis
• Assist in maintaining contacts with customers
• Represent the section and/or department at various forums
• Conduct reporting and inventory of supplies in the Armed Forces' accounting system Lift, Prio (SAP)
• Participate in exercises throughout the Armed Forces

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Approved high school education
• Several years of experience in storage/warehouse work, or in a service profession or other competence deemed equivalent by the employer
• Driver's license at least class B (manual)
• Very good experience working in a digital computer environment
• Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish

Personal Qualities

You will work in a team, so we prefer that you can collaborate well with others and have good camaraderie, but also be able to work independently and take your own initiatives and responsibility. • Experience handling the Armed Forces' accounting system Lift, Prio (SAP)
• Previously worked with the Armed Forces' materials

The Life Guards is one of the Armed Forces' largest units with roots dating back to 1521. We train tomorrow's soldiers, as well as military police and personnel who will carry out international missions. We guard the royal palaces, we have security and ground combat units. We are also responsible for preserving and developing the Swedish military music tradition. Our headquarters is in Kungsängen outside Stockholm, but we are also located in Sollentuna, central Stockholm, Uppsala, Gothenburg, and Karlskrona.
