Södra Bergslagens parish is looking for six cemetery workers for seasonal work at our cemeteries in Karlskoga and Degerfors–Nysund. The employment covers 26 weeks with the possibility of extension. Start date is April 7, 2025. Salary according to collective agreement.

As a cemetery worker with us, you will participate in the daily work of maintaining and caring for our cemeteries. The tasks are varied and include planting summer flowers, watering, weeding, mowing, and leaf blowing. In your work, you will use both smaller and larger machines, and basic maintenance of these is a natural part of the job. You will work both independently and together with colleagues, sharing the responsibility to ensure that the work is carried out safely, accurately, and with good quality.

We appreciate if you have an interest in, and preferably experience of, work within the green sector. The work is outdoors and can be physically demanding at times, which means you need to enjoy active work in all weather conditions.

REQUIREMENTS

• Good knowledge of Swedish

• High school education

• B driver's license

Meritorious:

• Experience as a cemetery or graveyard worker
• Experience in the green sector

• Familiarity with, and interest in, working with machines

• Documented machine qualifications

Personal qualities:

• Service-oriented and responsible

• Meticulous and quality-conscious

• Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently

• Confident and respectful in interactions with colleagues and visitors

As you will meet many visitors at the cemetery, it is important that you feel comfortable in the environment that the cemetery and church represent.
