Foot Care Specialist at Tallhöjden and Södertälje Health Centers

The health centers are located in Södertälje.

With us, nurses, district nurses, nursing assistants, and foot care specialists work together with doctors and home healthcare staff. We have an open dialogue and close teamwork in all patient contacts.

Job Description

We are looking for an engaged employee for Tallhöjdens health center and Södertälje health center. As a foot care specialist with us, you will work with foot care for referred patients with diabetes in risk groups 2-4 and patients with circulatory, neurological, or orthopedic diseases in the feet that have caused wounds or risk causing wounds. You will work independently, perform foot assessments, and based on that, treat the patient's foot problems. You will assess the need for relieving aids and follow up on this. You will provide advice on preventive self-care. You will book your own patient visits, handle administration, journal documentation in TakeCare, and maintain telephone contact with patients. You are an important part of the health center's team around patients. You will be involved in teaching patients in, for example, diabetes education at the health center, but also training for staff and students is included. You will collaborate with the diabetes foot ulcer clinic at the hospital and orthopedic technical companies.

Qualifications

  • Trained nursing assistant and foot care specialist.
  • Diabetes course for foot care specialists level 1 and 2.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish spoken and written.

Meritorious

  • Previous work as a foot care specialist.
  • Previous work with foot care in primary care or inpatient care.
  • Sophiahemmet's 7.5 credits in Foot Care prevention of foot complications and the prescription process of orthopedic aids.

Personal Qualities

Employment Form

Full-time, permanent employment. Start date April 2026 or as agreed.

  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment examination, according to applicable directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • in addition to Swedish professional license, good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required. The same requirements are guiding for non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
