At Forenede Care, we are looking for you who want to work as a cleaner/handyman and join our cozy nursing home!

At Öster Mälarstrand, we offer 90 apartments spread over five floors. 54 apartments are intended for people with dementia and 36 for people with somatic conditions. Each floor has a kitchen with dining area, a living room, and a large balcony. We also have a rooftop terrace for coffee breaks, barbecuing, and activities. On the ground floor, you will find a common area with a fireplace, café, restaurant, and access to our courtyard. We also have larger rooms for activities, celebrations, or other events. The surroundings of the residence offer beautiful walking paths along Mälaren or in green areas. Nearby, there are also playgrounds, restaurants, a grocery store, and bus stops.

As a cleaner/handyman with us, you contribute to creating a pleasant and hygienic environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. You are responsible for keeping the common areas clean and well-maintained. The job requires attention to detail, a sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude towards both people and tasks. You thrive in an environment where care and service are in focus and where you are an important part of the team.

We offer a stimulating work environment where quality and care are at the center. It is qualifying if you have previous experience in cleaning as well as handyman tasks and a basic understanding of dementia and how to interact with people with dementia.

• Preferably has good experience, but this is not a requirement

• Has good Swedish skills in both spoken and written form

Job Responsibilities

Ensure a clean and well-maintained environment in the care departments and common areas with a focus on quality and hygiene.

Establish maintenance requests and follow up

Receive goods and ensure that inventory and other matters are in order

Waste management, check sorting

Follow control programs according to environmental regulations and internal guidelines

Job Description

We are currently looking for a colleague for part-time work (80%) and a specific fixed-term employment.

• Experience as a cleaner in elderly care.

• Experience with handyman tasks

• Good Swedish skills in both spoken and written form

Meritorious

• Meritorious SRY, PRYL certification

• Dementia ABC and knowledge of care environments in nursing homes.

• Good knowledge of basic hygiene

• Cleaning in care environments
