Think of a time when you were a customer in our store. Think of all the areas we have. All the departments and display rooms. All the signs and displays. It is we in the KomIn department who design and build everything that our customers see. In our team, we have graphic designers, interior designers, visual merchandisers, and assemblers. And craftsmen. A position that you now have the opportunity to apply for. In this broad role, we will put your practical experiences and construction skills to the test. You will paint, tile, erect and tear down walls, nail, build kitchens, cut signs, and much much more. All in an incredibly creative and fast-paced environment.
Who are you
You have an education in construction/carpentry with a focus on fine carpentry or extensive hands-on experience. You have a burning interest in seeing new possibilities and are creative within the existing frameworks. The most important thing is that you enjoy working practically. You are comfortable handling tools and larger machines as well as maintaining/safety of these.
In addition, you need the following to be considered for the position:
- Good knowledge of Swedish
- Good technical knowledge (as we work in several systems)
- Driving license B (you will have certain assignments in our store in Skövde)

Your job is to implement the visions that your colleagues have. Our department designs and plans all areas in the store. With your expertise and in close collaboration with the team, you ensure that you think out and build store environments and staff areas in the best possible way.
The job includes:
• Painting, tiling, laying floors, being responsible for building structures and constructing complex furniture installations (for example, kitchens)
• Following instructions and work strategies written together with colleagues to implement all the store's departments and inspiration areas.
• Working according to deadlines.
• Planning and ordering materials and taking responsibility for the budget by working cost-consciously.
The work is physically demanding and places high demands on safety awareness as you will be working with large machines/tools in an environment filled with people. We always prioritize our customers first, so it is important that you are an ambassador for IKEA and comfortable meeting customers when you perform work in the store during opening hours.

The position is a permanent full-time employment (38.25h). Working hours are scheduled Mon-Fri from 06-15 with flexible hours.
