The Opportunity

Do you want to work with market-leading manufacturing and development of composite insulators at Hitachi Energy’s competence center for high-performance polymer fiber composites in Piteå?

We develop and manufacture market-leading composite insulators for high voltage and ultra-high voltage equipment. Our core competencies are mechanical, electrical, and physical properties and manufacturing processes for high-performance polymer composite materials. Our customers are located all over the world, both within and outside of Hitachi.

Hitachi Energy, Composites in Piteå is now looking for two shift operators who want to work in our production. We offer you a stimulating work environment where you can develop and become an important team player!

How you will make an impact

  • Monitor and operate machines according to given instructions and drawings, ensuring quality in the work.
  • Perform mechanical processing of composite insulators.
  • Program and set up machines for production.
  • Conduct routine sampling and testing. Perform final inspection, packaging, and wrapping of finished products.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvements in the processes.
  • You share Hitachi Energy’s core values regarding safety and integrity, which means you take responsibility for your own actions while also feeling responsible for your colleagues and the business.

Your background

  • Previous work experience as a CNC operator; experience from the manufacturing industry is an advantage. Relevant education in CNC, industry, or engineering.
  • Good knowledge of reading technical drawings.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and practical; enjoys both independent work and teamwork.
  • High safety awareness and strong focus on quality in the work performed.
  • Forklift license and experience in operating forklifts is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written; English is an advantage.

As a person, you are meticulous, have a strong quality mindset, and enjoy taking responsibility as well as collaborating in a team while contributing to a strong team spirit. It is important that you can handle changes with flexibility, joy, and commitment.
