As a seasonal worker at the cemetery, you will perform all tasks associated with the position. This may include planting, watering, lawn mowing, weeding, and pruning of bushes and trees. You will work with both larger and smaller machines that require daily maintenance. The work is usually done in groups, but there are also periods when you will work independently. You are responsible for completing assigned tasks and are expected to be attentive to emerging needs and communicate with management and colleagues. Duties may include grave and urn placement.

We prefer that you have education and/or experience in the green sector. A genuine interest in gardening is essential for enjoying the tasks. It is an advantage if you are experienced with machinery and handy, and possess a B driver's license for manual transmission. At the time of hiring, it is required that you have at least an AM driver's license. You must be at least 18 years old to work at the cemeteries and be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Personal Qualities

We are looking for someone who is independent, takes initiative, and has the ability to see what needs to be done. You are attentive, engaged, and self-driven, while also enjoying working in a team and can collaborate when needed. The work is physically demanding, which means you need to be in good physical shape. Malmö's cemeteries are multicultural, which requires that you have an understanding of diversity and feel comfortable in the environment that the cemetery represents. You have the ability to meet both colleagues and visitors with respect and understanding.
