Our operations in asphalt and aggregates have quarries, crushers, terminals, and asphalt plants across the country, focusing on a high degree of recycled material without compromising quality. Our paving teams provide the road network with high-quality surfaces, and our unloading experts extract rock safely and efficiently.
We are looking for a process operator/plant operator for our asphalt plant in Upplands Väsby.
At our facility, we extract and process rock. Parts of the processed rock are further refined into asphalt mass in our asphalt plant, which is then delivered to various paving projects in the Stockholm area. As a process operator/plant operator, you will be part of the asphalt production, and in your daily work, you will closely collaborate with your production manager, your colleagues in the team, and a wheel loader operator who handles the loading.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture asphalt using a computerized control system
- Supply the asphalt plant with materials using a wheel loader
- Plan and execute daily asphalt deliveries
- Contact with customers and suppliers
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair the plant
- Maintain Skanska's safety work
In this role, you will work shifts; we have day, afternoon, and night shifts. We have a varying production of asphalt manufacturing both daily and weekly, so working hours may also vary.
The Person We Are Looking For
To fit in with us, we see that you are a team player who enjoys working in a team. You have a positive attitude towards trying new working methods and a desire to develop. You find solutions where problems arise. You need to have a technical interest in machines but also appreciate the variation of working in front of a computer with the technical parts of a control system. Flexibility is important as working hours at the plant can vary.
Qualifications
In this position, you need:
- At least two years of experience with computerized control systems, for example from asphalt plants or concrete stations
- Driver's license B and own car
- Loader operator certificate
- Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
- Repair knowledge
It is advantageous if you have experience in asphalt production as well as electrical and welding skills.
