JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for flexible and driven chefs and kitchen assistants who want to work as substitutes in our production kitchens in Karlskoga. Do you want to help prepare delicious and healthy meals in a wonderful team? Then this is for you!

Working as a substitute is a great way to try out the profession, gain work experience, or combine work with studies.

You will work alone or in a team in one of our reception or production kitchens. In all our kitchens, food is prepared with care and with the guest in focus. The tasks vary greatly depending on where you work and how large the kitchen is. Some work occurs in digital systems such as Mashie, Proceedo, Time Care Pool, Outlook, Teams, which is why it is important that you have basic computer skills. Good communication is a prerequisite in the kitchen, and some documentation is involved in the work.

Chef

We prepare meals for the youngest and oldest, as well as for school students. As a chef, you are part of the whole and work in a team with kitchen assistants. You love cooking and are happy to contribute your knowledge to create flavorful and varied meals that meet the needs of the target group. Other common tasks in the kitchen include washing dishes and daily cleaning routines.

Kitchen Assistant

As a kitchen assistant, you work in a team with the chefs and play an important role in developing our salad buffet, welcoming our guests in the restaurant, and ensuring that the environment is inviting. Our production kitchens also send meals to other units. Other common tasks in the kitchen include washing dishes and daily cleaning routines.

Working hours vary, Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:30, and some kitchens also have weekend work at the same time. We use the booking system Time Care Pool, where you as a substitute can input your availability and also see your booked shifts. As a substitute, you can be booked at short notice, and you should also be able to work across the entire administration area.

QUALIFICATIONS

Those applying for the chef position should have appropriate upper secondary education or other vocational training in restaurant and large-scale catering. Experience deemed equivalent by the employer can compensate for the education requirement.

If you are applying for the kitchen assistant position, it is advantageous if you have training in meals, restaurant, or other training deemed equivalent by the employer.

To succeed in the role, we believe you are a taste-sensitive and engaged employee who is flexible, meticulous, and quality-conscious, even when the pace is high. You are attentive and can work both independently and together with your colleagues.

You should have language skills so that you can understand, speak, read, and write Swedish. You also need to have basic computer skills.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Experience working in large kitchens and/or restaurants
• A driving license (B) and access to your own car
