Are you an engaged nursing assistant, a good leader, and professional in your role? Then you are the right person for this position!
As a team leader, you have a clear, coaching, and present leadership in the daily care work. You work a large part in direct care and can therefore guide and support, as well as promote the development of colleagues and the unit. As a leader at Stora Sköndal, we want you to be secure in yourself and aware of your strengths and weaknesses. You are comfortable taking command and exercising leadership. You initiate activities, provide guidelines, and take responsibility. You can make decisions independently but involve relevant people in important decisions. You consider others' opinions and dare to try new ideas.
You plan and lead meeting forums and are also responsible for administrative tasks such as schedule planning, development talks, and participation in recruitment. We expect you as a leader to be a natural bearer of our guiding principles: care, equality, and change.
We work together in multiprofessional teams to create the best care and service for our residents. The team includes care staff, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and activity coaches. You will be the immediate supervisor for about 12 nursing assistants. As a team leader, you report to the operations manager. You also participate in the local management group together with the other team leaders to be involved in the quality work and development of the organization.
For those who do not have equivalent leadership training, we offer the course “Leadership Training for Managers in Elderly Care,” 30 credits, which we want all our team leaders to complete.
We need to ensure that you who apply for a job with us have the right to work in Sweden. If you proceed in the process, we will request documents that confirm your right to work in Sweden.
You have a nursing assistant education and documented experience in leadership. Furthermore, you also have experience in teamwork with nursing assistant colleagues, nurses, and rehabilitation staff, with the residents' best interests in focus.
As a person, you are responsible, organized, proactive, and have good social skills. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, as the job requires communication, documentation, and administration. Therefore, it is also important that you have good computer skills.
The position is a permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
Presentation of a criminal record check is required before the hiring decision.
We are a non-profit organization within support, care, education, and research. The fact that we do not distribute any profits allows us to invest all resources in fulfilling our mission as well as possible. Since 1905, operations within the Stiftelsen Stora Sköndal have developed, changed, and improved. Some operations remain, others are entirely new. But one thing does not change: We still work based on the belief in the equal value of all people.
Every day we want to make life better for all the people we meet in our operations. Today we are about 750 employees, both monthly and hourly, who work together towards our vision - a society with a natural place for everyone. Our culture is permeated by our values - equality, care, and change.
