81 days left
to apply for the job

Are you studying to become a nurse and longing for a summer job where you can use your knowledge, grow in your profession, and gain meaningful experiences? Perfect. With us at the health and medical care unit, you will work closely with experienced nurses, train your clinical skills, and make a concrete difference in people's daily lives.

Are you a trained nursing assistant with current experience working independently with medical tasks such as sample collection and wound dressings? Then you are also warmly welcome to apply.

This is the summer job where your knowledge becomes reality – for real.

YOUR ROLE

Whether you are studying to become a nurse or are a trained nursing assistant, you will have a summer filled with varied workdays and many human encounters. You will work in home care and at care and nursing homes, becoming an important part of the health and medical care team, where you, together with nurses and colleagues, ensure that patients receive the care they need.

Your workday may consist of following up on health conditions, performing venous or capillary blood sampling, changing dressings, conducting risk assessments, and documenting nursing interventions. Some tasks you will perform independently, while others you will solve together with nurses or colleagues. The combination of responsibility, variation, and team support makes this summer job particularly educational – especially for you as a student who wants to develop your clinical thinking.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone who is studying to become a nurse and will have completed their third semester by summer or is a trained nursing assistant. If you have previously worked in care and nursing homes or home healthcare, we consider that an advantage.

To succeed in this role, you need to have current experience with the tasks involved and be confident in performing them independently. This means you have regularly worked with, among other things, risk assessments, follow-ups on health conditions, blood pressure monitoring, venous and capillary blood sampling, and wound dressings.

Since you will be moving between different workplaces, a B driver's license is required.

This is a job for you who thrive on variation and meeting many different people. The pace can change, and therefore we believe you are someone who can quickly adapt and find solutions when circumstances change – while maintaining your composure. You collaborate easily, create safety around you, and are just as comfortable working independently as you are with others.

We are looking for someone who is engaged and responsible, and who meets people with care and respect. You work in a structured manner and keep things organized even when the days look different, and you have a natural way of seeing each individual. Here, you can use both your precision and your commitment to contribute to safe and close care where every effort counts. With us, you will have a summer where your skills truly make a difference.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

Our health and medical care unit works to provide patients aged 18 and older with quality care at the primary care level in the patient's home. As a summer substitute with us, you will be assigned to one of our geographical areas in the municipality. In your application, you will have the opportunity to specify which areas you are interested in working in, so we can match you as well as possible.

You will work daytime Monday to Friday, which provides a stable and predictable work week. To give you the best possible start, we see it as an advantage if you can work most of the summer, as it provides good continuity for both you and the organization. Introduction and training preferably take place before the regular vacation periods, so that you have time to become comfortable in the role and routines before the summer really kicks off.

Our operations are located throughout the municipality – both in home care and at care and nursing homes. Regardless of where you work, you will encounter engaged colleagues, a good atmosphere, and a work environment where we support each other and together create a safe everyday life for those we are here for.

GOOD TO KNOW

We recruit based on competence and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a cover letter, you will answer some selection questions and attach an updated CV. Psychological tests are used as part of the recruitment process. We are conducting this recruitment with ongoing selection, interviews, and appointments, so please do not wait to submit your application.

If you work at least 80% during both vacation periods, which together cover eight weeks, you will receive 10,000 kronor in addition to your regular gross salary. The compensation will be paid out after the summer.

For those of you who are retirees born in 1958 or earlier, a 25% higher hourly wage is offered during the months of June, July, and August.
