Sveaskog Västerbotten is looking for machine operators for our machine team in Åsele

About the position

As a forest machine operator, you will work towards goals regarding quality, monitoring, production, environment, and nature conservation. You are an important part of a whole chain where the demands for precision and responsibility are high. At Sveaskog, we see all our roles as equally important in the chain and the team, and we work to make each other better.

We are looking for someone who enjoys their work and has a genuine interest in machines, service, and maintenance. You are prepared to operate both harvesters and forwarders. You are not afraid to use certain IT equipment and see simpler administration as part of your job. You are interested in and take great responsibility in your work that represents the various values of the forest, such as production, maintenance, and nature conservation.

You will belong to a self-sufficient work team, which currently consists of 3 machine operators working shifts with regeneration harvesting. The position includes areas of responsibility that can be adapted to your skills and strengths. You will have local contact with hauliers, machine workshops, area managers, and road contractors.

Your qualifications

You have a high school forestry education or a burning interest in forest machines, perhaps experience that corresponds to this knowledge. Part of the work is done digitally, so computer skills are part of the job. A B driver's license is required.
