Clinical Chemistry is part of Laboratory Medicine in Blekinge, which includes clinical pathology / clinical cytology, transfusion medicine, and sampling center, with a total of about 120 employees.

The operations are conducted in Karlskrona and Karlshamn.

The operations are accredited according to ISO 15189.

About the Job

At Clinical Chemistry, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-tech and development-intensive environment with complex technical dependencies. We actively work to manage and improve our analysis offerings to provide the best possible service to healthcare.

In the role of hospital chemist, you will work in consultation with the medically responsible physician, quality coordinator, functional managers, biomedical analysts, and managers.

As a hospital chemist in Laboratory Medicine, you will work across our two units in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Your tasks will include participating in the procurement of new analytical equipment, development and validation/verification of new analytical methods, as well as monitoring and troubleshooting existing analytical methods. You are also expected to work on maintaining and developing the laboratory's management system.

About You

Higher education in chemistry, biochemistry, biomedical science, or equivalent as deemed applicable by the employer.

The ability to independently acquire and convey knowledge about new methods and system support, which is a prerequisite for functioning well in our technically advanced environment.

The position requires very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of English. You have a good ability to communicate with different professional groups internally and externally. You have a high degree of service orientation and work to provide our customers with good service. The role requires good collaboration skills, where you see it as a matter of course to help and support each other when needed. You are meticulous and work in a structured and systematic manner, and you have a personal drive to participate in and/or lead development projects. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
