Are you a leader with specialized knowledge in IT? We are looking for an Assistant Unit Manager for IT Operations. Here you will lead change and development in the exciting journey we are currently undertaking within the IT Operations and Support unit.

You will be responsible for the part of IT that manages infrastructure and operations, which includes servers, networks, clients, and integration. Our most important task is to ensure that the municipality's employees and users have access to systems, tools, and support to carry out their work. Today, the entire IT organization consists of approximately 55 employees and is part of our Service Administration.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

IT Operations and Support is in a development phase and is preparing for efficiency improvements and merging functions. You will lead this work while also creating a culture of improvement based on our administration's strategic direction for increased development pace. Involvement in the municipality's digitalization journey is also part of our responsibility moving forward.

As an Assistant Unit Manager, you will have full operational, financial, and personnel responsibility. You will also ensure an active work environment effort within the unit. You will have personnel responsibility for approximately 25 employees, and in daily management, you will receive support from your closest managerial colleagues. Collaboration occurs particularly with the Assistant Unit Manager for IT Support to ensure that the entire IT Operations and Support unit achieves common goals. The management group you are part of jointly drives IT issues for the municipality and works across unit boundaries to create customer value. Your immediate supervisor is the IT Manager at the Service Administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with leadership experience and solid knowledge in IT operations with a background in IT and the technical areas included in our responsibility. You have a post-secondary education focused on IT. You are very accustomed to working in a larger IT organization and have contact with various operations.

You are a calm and secure leader who is skilled at planning and structuring daily work and managing constant changes in priorities. You can act strategically and comprehensively but also capture smaller details when necessary. You are visible to your employees and support and work with the team towards set goals. You want to be a key person for IT Operations and Support and contribute to a continued positive development for this business in strong change.
