About the position:

As an engine calibration engineer, you will be a key person in the development of future drivetrains. Your main task is to meet customers' high expectations for quality, fuel consumption, and performance, while ensuring that the products comply with current and upcoming emission regulations. You will achieve this by selecting the right engine hardware components and calibrating engine-related functions to optimize both efficiency and environmental performance.

The upcoming emission requirements place high demands on innovation, and you will contribute to developing advanced control strategies in conjunction with optimized engine hardware. The work takes place in agile teams with close collaboration between calibration, software development, and design.

In your daily work, you will experience a varied and dynamic work environment where you switch between work in the engine laboratory, virtual testing, simulation, data analysis, creative meetings, and vehicle testing. You will follow the calibration journey from idea and concept to test cell and final verification in trucks. Climate testing in both warm and cold environments is also included.

They work according to agile methods where each team plans its sprints and delivers solutions together while valuing an open and supportive culture where knowledge exchange and collaboration are central. The tasks vary between being part of larger development projects and shorter assignments that improve functions in existing products.

We are looking for someone who

  • Has 2-3 years of experience in engine calibration or combustion engine development.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • At least a bachelor's degree in mechatronics.

Furthermore, great importance will be placed on personal suitability, where we are looking for someone who is proactive and responsible. You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with others, and you have the ability to build trusting relationships with customers and colleagues. We would like you to be creative in your thinking and have a solution-oriented approach.

About the employment:

This is initially a consulting arrangement but with good opportunities to transition into employment with the client.
