We are currently looking for dedicated environmental workers for our depot in Upplands Väsby.
About the Job
Verdis is responsible for waste collection in several municipalities in northern Stockholm, where we work on behalf of and in close collaboration with the respective municipality. To meet the demands of our assignments and our high quality goals, we are now looking for someone with a C driver's license, YKB, and a positive drive.
As an environmental worker, you are a key person in our daily operations – Verdis' face to the public and part of the team that ensures our municipalities remain clean. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that the waste management tasks are carried out in accordance with our routines and our client's requirements. You report to the local management.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Collection and transportation of waste using rear-loading collection vehicles
- Handling of vehicle computers and RFID equipment
- Reporting deviations
- Daily maintenance/check of vehicles and superstructures, as well as cleaning them when necessary
- Submitting vehicles to the workshop when needed
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a C driver's license with an accompanying YKB
- Masters the Swedish language in both speech and writing
It is an advantage if you have:
- Previous experience from similar work
- Driven rear-loaders before
- Knowledge of digital deviation management
- Familiarity with precision driving
This position suits you if you have good physical fitness and enjoy a mobile job in a fast-paced environment. You appreciate being outdoors and have no problem working in all weather conditions. As a person, you are service-oriented with good collaboration skills and have a solution-oriented approach. We also believe that you are responsible and take pride in performing your work in the best possible way.
Additional Information
Start: By agreement, preferably as soon as possible
Employment type: Permanent (we apply a six-month probationary period)
Scope: Full-time (40 hours/week)
Working hours: Our operations run Monday to Friday, daytime between approximately 06:00-15:00
Location: Vällsta, Upplands Väsby
