Vårdcentralen Grums is a well-functioning healthcare center with approximately 7000 registered patients.

It is located about a 10-minute walk from the travel center and a 20-minute drive from Karlstad. The healthcare center is operated by Region Värmland and belongs to the southern Karlstad area, consisting of the healthcare centers Grums, Gripen, Herrhagen, Västerstrand, Skoghall, our digital unit vårdcentral Värmland, and the emergency center Karlstad.

In recent years, there has been a focus on improving the medical quality, routines, and working methods, which has yielded good results. Today, the healthcare center is staffed by district nurses, nurses, specialist doctors, resident doctors, nursing assistants, healthcare administrators, psychotherapists, psychologists, and podiatrists who have together found an efficient way of working to offer good care to our patients. We have high availability for our patients and continuously work to improve the operations. We currently have a podiatrist working part-time and we are now looking for another podiatrist to join our team.

Your tasks

As a medical podiatrist at Vårdcentralen Grums, you will work to improve the patients' foot health and quality of life. Patients entitled to podiatry at the healthcare center are patients with a diabetes diagnosis. Patients are called in once a year but can also be scheduled more frequently as needed. It may be possible to have a shared position, which means you may work part-time at Vårdcentralen Grums and part-time at another healthcare center within the southern Karlstad area.

Your skills/competencies

We are looking for someone with a basic education as a nursing assistant and further education in medical podiatry, approved in Sweden. We value if you are meticulous, responsible, and have a good approach towards both patients and colleagues. The work is independent and requires you to be confident in your professional practice.
