System Administrator for Deep-Tech Company

About the Position
We are now looking for an experienced and self-driven System Administrator for our client - a rapidly growing company in deep-tech and advanced analytics. The role is part-time at 50% and involves significant responsibility for our HPC infrastructure (High Performance Computing) with distributed Linux systems (Ubuntu), SWARM clusters, and SLURM queuing systems. You will be a key player in a technically skilled team and work closely with both data analysis and system development developers.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Management and further development of HPC-distributed Linux environments
- Build and administer SLURM queuing systems for Nextflow/Python jobs
- Create and manage user accounts and system permissions
- Update, install, and configure software and hardware
- Troubleshooting and technical support related to distributed computing (SWARM)
- Backup, recovery, and maintenance of system documentation
- Collaborate with both IT and internal development teams
Who Are You?
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in system administration in HPC environments
- Deep knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux, scripting (Python/Bash), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Experience with Cron jobs, SWARM, and schedulers
- Good understanding of system and network security
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Preferred Qualifications
- Django/web interfaces and databases (SQL, MongoDB)
- Cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of Nextflow and Groovy/JAVA
- Swedish language skills
