JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are Gothenburg! Now we need you with excellent skills in networking for our team! Within the Digital Infrastructure department, about 260 employees work with the operation, management, and development of the City of Gothenburg's central IT environment. We have an important role in contributing to the digitization of the city's operations. Here is one of Sweden's largest and most modern data centers that houses the city's shared IT resources. Our suppliers are the leading players in the industry, including HPE, BlueCat, Palo Alto, Algosec, F5, Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, and Commvault.

The IT Communication unit currently consists of 22 people and is responsible for network communication for the shared services in the City of Gothenburg that Intraservice delivers. In the role of Technical Manager for the Remote Access service, you will be responsible for the further development of features within our platforms for Remote Access (VPN).

Your main tasks will be:

• Strategy
  You are responsible for ensuring that the technical solution supports our customers' goals and that new technologies are evaluated and implemented strategically to improve for our customers.
• Operation
  You ensure that the components of the service function optimally, that lifecycle and maintenance work, and that processes are followed. You are responsible for ensuring that the service has the right and sufficient resources.
• Continuity
  You are responsible for ensuring that a continuity plan is established, followed, and updated.
• Technical IT Security and Data Protection
  You lead the work within IT security for the components of the service, participate in cybersecurity efforts such as NIS2, and preventive work against external threats.
• Advisory and Support
  You act as an expert on the service's structure and functions and can answer questions within the organization.

You are part of the function that handles strategic purchases, budget, contract management regarding hardware, and drives strategic issues with strategic partners and manufacturers. The work also includes support in the form of incident and case management, which means that work with other technologies such as routing and switching may occur. You work closely with customers and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions. The position may include on-call duty and work during service windows as needed.

You will hold the position of Technical IT Strategist.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable and has broad experience working in data centers. You have a university degree in IT or equivalent competence in IT that the employer deems relevant.

To succeed in the role, you need to have a deep understanding of IT infrastructure in an enterprise environment and have experience working with both network and system administration. Data protection regulations and compliance have been a natural part of your previous work life. Since you will work in a group where routing and switching are important segments for our service delivery, it is highly meritorious if you also have experience in this.

In addition to technical competence, we place great importance on your attention to detail and systematic work approach. You have the ability to collaborate while also being able to work independently. This requires you to have well-developed communication skills. You value order and clarity, and good quality is a guiding star in your work. To succeed in the role, you also need to be stimulated by problem-solving and have the ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written communication.
