The Gothenburg primary school administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool class to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning and following up on teaching based on the curriculum goals, as well as working for equality and equity in the classroom. You collaborate with colleagues to promote students' influence, participation, and responsibility. We are looking for a solution-focused and communicative teacher who is willing to take responsibility for influencing the workplace and striving for higher achievement. You see modern technology as a natural part of teaching and a tool for development.

Emmaskolan is a school with about 162 students in grades F-3. The school is located close to nature in Hammarkullen. The school is situated in a quiet environment and has a beautiful and stimulating schoolyard. We have an outdoor classroom and a pond adjacent to the school. On the schoolyard, you will also find our own sports hall where both students and staff engage in sports. At Emmaskolan, we always work with the student's best interests in focus, which influences our working methods and the organization of our work. The work at the school is characterized by an inclusive approach and has a strong focus on language development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades F-3. If you have previous experience in teaching, it is an advantage, but we also welcome you who are newly graduated. As a newly graduated teacher, you will receive a mentor at the school and be part of the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction, which provides networking and activities for your development during the first year. Furthermore, it is also an advantage if you have experience in pedagogical work in socio-economically disadvantaged areas.

To thrive with us, you need to be motivated by school development work and have a drive to improve your own and others' work daily. We expect you to be a skilled educator who can adapt your teaching to the needs of the students. You also have the ability to adjust your communication according to the situation and ensure that what you convey reaches the recipient. It is important that you can change how you work when things change. You can quickly adjust your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes.
