Job Advertisement: Major Gifts - Plan International Sweden
Are you passionate about children's rights and gender equality for girls? Are you motivated by building strong, trusting relationships and making a real difference? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
Plan International Sweden is seeking someone to take responsibility for developing and driving the work of major gift fundraising. This newly established role is crucial for creating a sustainable long-term revenue stream from major donors, including individuals and foundations. You will be part of our new Business Development Team and report to the Head of Fundraising and Communication. In this role, you will also work closely with colleagues within the organization to maximize revenue and identify new opportunities to finance our important work.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for major gift fundraising for Plan International Sweden.
- Build and manage a portfolio of major donors, including individuals and foundations, and contribute to business development by identifying new fundraising opportunities for this target group.
- Collaborate with colleagues to identify suitable projects, create compelling presentations for potential donors, and ensure high-quality reporting.
- Conduct thorough research and due diligence on potential donors and funding opportunities.
- Develop and execute tailored donor journeys that position Plan International Sweden to potential donors and strengthen relationships with existing donors.
- Ensure that all activities targeting this audience comply with laws, regulations, and the organization's policies.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a strong network among major donors and several years of experience in a similar role with documented good results. You are skilled at building long-term relationships and are used to taking responsibility for both strategic planning and project management. We envision that you have a relevant higher education and are fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
You are a self-driven person who sees opportunities and is motivated to perform. At the same time, you are collaborative, relationship-building, and communicative. Your ability to turn ideas into action, as well as your commitment to contributing to the organization's success, are central factors for success in this role.
