The Neonatal Department is looking for a Nurse/Pediatric Nurse! At BB Skövde, we work according to the process "The pregnant woman, her child, and partner," which includes Specialist MVC, delivery, BB, and neonatal care.

The operation is based on collaboration between different units, and we continuously work to further develop our operations and methods.

The Neonatal Department is a care unit for premature infants and sick newborns who, for various reasons, need specialized care or general nursing and observation. Approximately 350 children are cared for each year in the department's twelve care places, of which two are intensive care places. Home neonatal care and Neonatal outpatient clinic are part of the department's operations.

Job Duties

As a pediatric nurse/nurse, you primarily work in direct care around the patient and are a natural contact for both relatives and parents. You may have the opportunity to work in a broad perspective within pediatric care, where you expand your competence and face new challenges based on the department's focus and breadth. In inpatient care, we work according to a flexible scheduling model, which means working days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained specialist nurse in pediatrics or a nurse with a particular interest in/experience in neonatal care.

You have:

• good ability to collaborate with both colleagues and patients and relatives.
• the ability to work flexibly based on our different patient groups and can handle rapidly emerging situations when a lot is happening in the unit.
• a genuine interest in pediatric care and a desire to work for the development of the organization, the group, and your personal growth.

Working with children requires creativity and patience to build trust with the patient and their guardians. The approach is crucial in all situations.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability from a child perspective.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. The Clinical Foundation Year includes introductory days, mentoring and training days, and observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills while growing into their new profession.
