Care Assistant Needed at Medical Center Southern Lapland

Lycksele Hospital is a small and well-equipped acute hospital, and we are now looking for a dedicated care assistant to the Medical Center Southern Lapland and the Rehab/Stroke department. Here, there are 16 care places within the stroke unit, orthopedic, and general rehabilitation. The staff works in well-functioning teams consisting of doctors, nurses, care assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, and speech therapists. There is a good cohesion and a positive climate in the workgroup! By working in a smaller hospital, you also get to be part of a strong community, competence, and drive. With us, you will develop, become independent, and collaborate with skilled colleagues!
Our employees in the department work in a working time model that provides a reduction in working hours to allow more time for recovery.
We are now looking for care assistants for a fixed-term employment with the possibility of extension.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will participate in the care of patients in close collaboration with other professionals in the team. Your work is very varied, and you will work within stroke, orthopedics, and rehabilitation. We are constantly working to develop care where our clinical vision reflects our work - Soft hands, sharp minds, warm hearts.

QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant with an interest in stroke care and rehabilitation. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a healthcare department or other acute settings.
We want you to be engaged and have a strong team spirit, see opportunities and solutions as you play an important role in our team. You have the ability to prioritize between different tasks. The work requires good collaboration skills and high flexibility. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As of July 1, 2023, the title of care assistant is a protected professional title. This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of care assistant in healthcare and social services. You apply for a certificate of the protected professional title for care assistants from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you have already received this certificate, we ask that you attach it to your application.
