The after-school program is an important part of students' development and learning. To support the development work and create opportunities for increased quality, we are now choosing to appoint a development teacher within the after-school program. In parallel with the regular position at the after-school program, the development teacher will have a targeted assignment to lead the school's systematic development work within the after-school program together with and on behalf of the school management. Gånghesterskolan covers grades F-6 with just over 230 students and an after-school department with about 80 children. We have wonderfully nice and functional premises that provide us with inspiration and joy in our daily work.

We have two parallel classes in preschool to grade 2, one parallel in grades 3-4, and two parallels in grades 5-6. Our staff is engaged and competent and works together in the good spirit that exists at the school. Special teachers support daily: inspire and challenge the staff and also work with the students. A good collaboration between the EH team and the staff occurs in everyday life. We place the student at the center, a school where we all help to see opportunities and solutions of various kinds.

Aplaredskolan and Gånghesterskolan have the same school management and collaborate across school boundaries. Understanding all students is a challenge we embrace!

As a development teacher, you will have a targeted assignment that means you will lead the school's development work within the after-school program together with the school management.

-You show commitment and a genuine interest in working in the after-school program and drive collegial collaboration around development processes within the assignment for the after-school program.

-You will, together with the school's management, analyze, implement, and follow up on the work with quality development related to the after-school program. Collaboration with the school's other development groups is part of the assignment. Through collaboration between school and after-school operations, conditions for students' learning are created.

-You contribute to spreading experiences within the school and between schools and ensure that research and scientific theories are shared with colleagues in a collegial professional learning environment.

-You adopt a learning perspective and create good relationships with all students and colleagues where positive expectations are a natural part.

-As a development teacher, you are expected to inspire and be a good ambassador for the profession.

In addition to the targeted assignment as a development teacher, you and your colleagues will be responsible for the operations in the school's after-school program where you offer meaningful after-school activities based on the students' needs, interests, and experiences. Since Aplaredskolan and Gånghesterskolan have the same school management and collaborate across school boundaries, you will also be responsible for the development of Aplaredskolan's after-school program, but will only work in the children's group at Gånghesterskolan.

For the position of development teacher, you must be able to present a teaching license with a focus on after-school programs or leisure pedagogy. You must also demonstrate four years of well-regarded work within after-school programs after graduation.
