This is Imaging and Functional Medicine at Skaraborg Hospital

Imaging and Functional Medicine (BFM) consists of radiology, nuclear medicine, and the intervention center (IVC). The operations are conducted at the hospitals in Skövde and Lidköping, with approximately 150,000 examinations performed annually.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for a nursing assistant for the IVC with possible rotation within BFM. As a nursing assistant within the IVC, you will work in the operating room as part of a team. You will assist with sterile preparation and provide sterile materials during examinations. You will be responsible for certain inventory and material orders, which are fundamental for the operation to function.

Within the IVC, the nursing assistant's work is independent but in close collaboration with other professional categories in the department. You will handle various data systems such as the Marketplace, the radiology journal system Sectra RIS/PACS, and some parts of Melior in your daily work.

Qualifications

You should be a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience in radiology. We place high demands on a service-oriented approach as we have many contacts both by phone and in person, with patients, staff, and other visitors to our reception.

Information about the title Nursing Assistant

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you need a certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant within healthcare and social services. You apply for the certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. If you do not have a certificate, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but with the title of care assistant.
