At Vätternvatten, you have the opportunity to be part of a unique infrastructure project in Sweden. At the same time, you contribute to building something as essential to society as a secure drinking water supply. Today, we are 19 employees in pleasant and newly renovated premises in the old Shoe Factory on Pappersbruksallén in Örebro.

At Vätternvatten, we are currently investigating and designing a completely new drinking water supply system for large parts of the Örebro region. The project includes, among other things, intake in Lake Vättern, rock tunnel, waterworks, transfer pipelines, and delivery stations. 

We are now looking for a project engineer with a focus on planning

In consultation with the project manager and sub-project manager, you will be responsible for the project's schedules and also carry out other tasks within the framework of the project's needs.

Your main tasks

  • Lead, plan, drive, and follow up the work within the project's scheduling

  • Drive and support the project organization through monitoring and reporting in areas such as finance, quality, requirements management, as well as meeting documentation and diary management.

 Qualifications

You have a post-secondary education relevant to the position in construction, economics, or procurement, or equivalent competence acquired in another way, and you have a good understanding of the project process and its various stages. Order and organization are essential to succeed in the role.

You have good knowledge of digital tools for project planning. You have previous experience in project and production planning in construction/civil engineering and have good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing. As a person, you are structured, driven, analytical, and work well both independently and in a team. You enjoy a role with your own area of responsibility and many areas of cooperation and are a person who takes the initiative required to solve tasks and drive work forward.

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years of experience working as a project engineer in the construction and civil engineering sector from the contractor or client side, or in another role deemed equivalent.

As this position may be classified as a security-cleared position, employment is subject to a security check and consent must be given for a possible register check. The security check currently consists of a background check and a security interview.

About Vätternvatten

Vätternvatten is a municipally owned company owned by Hallsberg, Kumla, Lekeberg, and Örebro municipalities. The goal is to be able to deliver drinking water to the residents of the shareholder municipalities by 2035. The company is currently in phase 1, which includes permitting and planning.
