About the Workplace
The Labor Market Department is an important player in Malmö's labor market. We contribute to strengthening the job-seeking Malmö residents' opportunities for employment and help them become self-sufficient, either on their own or with the help of another actor. Within the Labor Market Department, various labor market initiatives are offered, such as action employment, work training, education, and internships.
The occupational therapist is part of a Resource Team together with psychologists, language developers, and career counselors. Together, the Resource Team works towards the labor market department and primarily towards the approximately 120 labor market secretaries whose task is to support and guide unemployed Malmö residents towards work and studies. All initiatives from the Resource Team aim to support the work that labor market secretaries, work leaders, and activity leaders carry out with participants to ensure that more participants transition to work or studies.
At Sweden's largest labor market and social administration, 2500 employees work every day to strengthen Malmö residents. Together with the residents of Malmö, we want to increase opportunities for self-sufficiency, reduce homelessness, contribute to ensuring that children and young people have good growing conditions, and work to ensure that newcomers have good opportunities. It is an important and rewarding job, but far from easy. Apply for a job with us; you will make a difference.
