We are looking for teachers in Swedish and Swedish as a second language for Lillhagaskolan.

Lillhagaskolan is a seven-parallel middle school with just over 500 students and a competent and dedicated staff of about 60 people. In addition to educational staff, the school has a counselor, school nurse, psychologist, special educator, study and career counselor, and social educators who work together preventively and promote safety and learning.

Many of us have worked at the school for many years and are used to supporting each other, but also to taking personal responsibility and working flexibly. We have a very good goal fulfillment and constantly strive to become even better. Lillhagaskolan's goal is for students, through guidance and stimulation, accessible teaching, and learning environments, to have the opportunity to develop based on their own conditions and reach as far as possible.

Job Responsibilities

You will teach Swedish and Swedish as a second language for students in grades 7-9, where the focus is on differentiated instruction and creating an accessible learning environment. As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating students' learning as well as providing mentorship. You build good relationships with both students and guardians, based on trust and respect. You are aware of your own impact on students' learning. Based on students' results, research, and proven experience, you follow up on the quality of teaching, reflect, and evaluate to develop the instruction. You provide forward-looking feedback to students aimed at development and support them according to their individual needs. You collaborate with colleagues to develop yourself and your teaching as well as the school's educational work.

We require you to present a criminal record extract before employment.

Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an asset if you speak Finnish.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish and Swedish as a second language. You have a teaching degree with a valid teaching license and experience in grading and assessment. You have clear classroom leadership and are a positive role model for our students. You are flexible and have good collaboration skills, easily creating good relationships and cooperating with students, guardians, and colleagues. Students' conditions and needs guide the interventions. This means you need to have a good ability to adapt the instruction for the students you are responsible for, both individually and in groups.
