Your new job is located at the Introduction Program Enhanced Individual Alternative (FIA), a collaboration between Bäckadalsgymnasiet and the Social Services in Jönköping municipality. The collaboration means that the way to a place at FIA is a support decision from the social services. Youth workers are responsible for executing the assignment and coordinating efforts around the student and family. This unique collaboration is a strength and a prerequisite for achieving success in our work regarding the student's entire life situation. At FIA, we focus on abilities, motivation, health, and social context in collaboration with family and other actors.

FIA is a smaller teaching group located in the Fabriken block in Öster, Jönköping. With a high teacher density consisting of three teachers and one youth worker, we have great opportunities to offer support. The work team has a low-affective approach and extensive experience working with youth in need of special support. In your role as a mentor, you need to be flexible and take responsibility for the students' entire school situation, even outside the classroom. This may involve picking up a student, accompanying them to a workplace, and supporting them in social relationships. We base our approach on the student's wishes regarding times, subjects, or other school-related efforts and tailor an individual plan for each student. We hope you have good communication skills and an understanding that students have different conditions for acquiring knowledge and developing as individuals.

Your Competence

You who are applying are a qualified primary school teacher for grades 7-9. You should be prepared to teach students in various subjects. Broad subject qualifications and experience teaching in several different subjects are advantageous, although personal suitability for the position is crucial.

We highly value your ability to interest, inspire, and engage students, as well as your flexibility. Therefore, we place great importance on your ability to collaborate and personal suitability. Patience, imagination, and joy in work are good qualities to bring when applying for this position.

Since we at FIA work with students of high school age who need a lot of support from adults both in school and in their life situation, it is advantageous if you have experience working with students in need of special support, mental health issues, and NPF diagnoses.

The position is a fixed-term employment for the school year 25/26.
