Part-time Nurses Wanted for Pulmonary Care Unit

About the position

With us, you will meet patients in need of highly specialized care in pulmonary medicine. We have 12 beds and work in teams consisting of a nurse and a nursing assistant, along with resources that strengthen the team as needed. Each team is responsible for 6 patients. We collaborate closely with the department's doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, coordinators, and facilitators.

As a nurse, you are responsible for care, medication administration, and medical technical equipment. You will learn advanced treatment and examination methods specific to pulmonary medicine such as handling and interpreting blood gases, various types of drainage treatments, non-invasive ventilatory treatment (NIV), high-flow oxygen therapy (Optiflow), transcutaneous measurement of carbon dioxide (TOSCA), and extended sampling in cases of fluid accumulation in the lungs.

We investigate and treat major public diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. We also assess respiratory failure and underventilation and initiate treatment with ventilators, long-term oxygen therapy, and preparations for lung transplants. We treat patients with pleuritis, pneumonia, empyema, and various inflammatory lung diseases such as sarcoidosis and pulmonary fibrosis.

  • has a structured work method and can effectively plan, organize, and prioritize to ensure a well-functioning workflow
  • is quick to adopt new treatment methods and technical aids to continuously develop your skills and provide the best possible care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Licensed nurse
  • At least one year of experience as a nurse
  • Available for night shifts from week 25-33

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in a care unit and/or emergency care within somatic care
