Our Operations
The Academic Laboratory is responsible for qualified medical diagnostics, research, development, and education. As an important part of Uppsala University Hospital, we contribute to the development of future healthcare. Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology (KKF) is one of the five sections of the Academic Laboratory. We operate 24/7 laboratories at Uppsala University Hospital and at the Hospital in Enköping. KKF is an exciting and highly specialized operation that performs diagnostics and provides guidance in the fields of chemistry and pharmacology. We also support patient-related analysis activities in both inpatient and outpatient care and contribute to research and education. Currently, about 140 employees work within KKF.
Your Mission
As an assistant quality coordinator or business developer within quality assurance in the operation, you report directly to the deputy head of the section and are part of the section's management team. Your mission is to work with the quality work of the operation together with the quality coordinator and be part of an exciting journey towards becoming a reaccredited operation. You will also have close collaboration with the deputy head of the operation, section head, department heads, and the medically responsible physician.
Your tasks will mainly include:
- Driving and coordinating the operation's quality and patient safety work as well as accreditation issues.
- Managing administration around the quality system's documents (writing and reviewing documents).
- Implementing and developing quality work within the area of responsibility.
- Ensuring that the operation maintains the quality level according to its quality requirements and the requirements set by laws, regulations, standards, and reviewing authorities.
- Participating in training and information activities, especially in the quality area.
- Conducting internal audits.
- Coordinating the handling and follow-up of deviations and developing the quality in our overarching processes.
Your Qualifications
You are a trained biomedical analyst or have another equivalent natural science higher education/university degree and have worked in laboratory medicine. We are looking for someone with experience in working with and within quality management systems, regulations, and standards, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of healthcare. It is also advantageous if you have worked in Centuri and with deviation management and participated in audits and inspections.
As a person, you are analytical, meticulous, quality-conscious, and structured. You enjoy taking responsibility and want to constantly improve the operation you work in. You will have contact with many people and professions in your work, which requires good communication skills as well as good collaboration skills.
For the position, it is required that you have very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, as Swedish is our working language.
We Offer
We offer a permanent full-time position. A probationary period of up to six months may apply. Working hours are scheduled on weekdays, during the day. Start date according to agreement. Job interviews and filling the position may be conducted continuously during the application period.
