At Årbyskolan, safety, participation, and learning are important guiding principles in our work with our approximately 640 students in grades F-9. The school has about 90 staff members who all work together to strengthen the overall picture around each student. Årbyskolan is classified by the Swedish National Agency for Education as particularly vulnerable. This means we face challenges, and the work can sometimes be demanding, but it is also very fun and rewarding! JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a wood and metal craft teacher, you will be responsible for teaching grades 3-6, where you inspire students to be creative through practical work. You will plan, implement, and follow up on your teaching based on the curriculum Lgr22. You will also belong to a subject working group that values good and close collaboration. In this collaboration, you exchange ideas and experiences to provide students with the best possible conditions for development.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a teaching degree and teaching certification with authorization to teach wood and metal craft for grades 3-6. If you have ongoing education that will conclude shortly, that is also acceptable. We want you to have experience teaching in schools and also have experience working according to the applicable curriculum (Lgr22).

This position is suitable for you if you are a confident leader and can adapt your leadership style to the classroom situation. As a person, you are attentive, have good collaboration skills, and the ability to see the whole picture in the student’s school situation. You communicate easily with both adults and students. We believe you have various strategies to create engagement and motivation among your students.
