The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götaland Region and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.

Description

The endoscopy department presents exciting challenges where we aim to meet the future patient with modern working methods, focusing on individual needs and circumstances.

We perform scheduled examinations such as gastroscopies, colonoscopies, and sigmoidoscopies. We also conduct screenings for the early detection of colorectal cancer. The endoscopy unit is located in new premises, where teamwork is emphasized. We are looking for someone with an interest in endoscopy who wants to work to strengthen and maintain the team spirit. The endoscopy unit is a smaller unit organized under the medical reception, with advantages such as proximity, short decision-making paths, communication, and collaboration. We encounter a wide range of patients and patient diagnoses. Working hours are during the day, Monday to Friday, 40 hours/week.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations and working closely with patients. As a nurse, you will also administer medications for procedures that require it. You will work with technical equipment, a role that is both independent and collaborative within a team. You will inform and meet patients based on their individual needs and circumstances. You will also have a certain advisory role over the phone.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed nurse with several years of experience in the profession, preferably with experience in endoscopy, who wants to develop with us. You are flexible and eager to learn new things. As a person, you are stable and possess strong communication skills. We appreciate your ability to prioritize between different tasks and take initiative in your work. Your perspective is characterized by care for people, and you need to have a good ability to work in a team. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
