We are now looking for mining guides for the summer season. Take the opportunity for an exciting summer job with many international meetings! Kiruna Lappland offers guided tours to the world's largest underground iron ore mine all year round. With a bus directly from the tourist center, the tour goes straight into the mountain and down to the LKAB Visitor Centre at a depth of 540 meters. The guide explains modern mining and how it can cause an entire city to relocate. Visitors are offered coffee and cake in the café.

Job Responsibilities

Guiding groups of up to 50 people in Swedish and English. The job also includes preparing snacks in the café. A mandatory guide training of approximately 5-7 days will be organized starting on May 12 (subject to change). After that, there will be some guiding until the main season begins around midsummer, lasting until about mid/late August.

Qualifications

• Ability to inform visitors in an educational and engaging manner

• Good command of English and fluent in Swedish

• Service-oriented with social skills

• Responsible, stress-resistant, and flexible

• Proactive with the ability to make independent decisions

• Good teamwork skills

• Minimum age of 18 years

Meritorious

• Previous guiding experience

• Knowledge of the German language

• Good knowledge of Kiruna

Working Hours

Hourly employment, part-time approximately 90%, including weekends according to schedule during the period of June to August. Possibility for continued extra work if needed after the season ends.

Other

We do not provide accommodation and note that it is difficult to find housing in Kiruna.
