Vocational Teachers for the Electrical and Energy Program

Rekarnegymnasiet is Eskilstuna's largest upper secondary school with approximately 1250 students. The school is beautifully situated near the Kronskogen nature area, just under a kilometer outside the center of Eskilstuna. We provide education in the fields of construction, electricity, vehicles, child and leisure, plumbing, economics, social sciences, and natural sciences.

We are Eskilstuna's sports high school where all teaching is permeated by a health perspective with a focus on sports and health. As a student with us, you have the opportunity to combine sports and studies, regardless of which program you are studying or what athletic level you are at. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a vocational teacher in the Electrical and Energy Program, you will plan and teach students in core subjects related to electricity and automation. You will support and motivate young people in their development both socially and academically. Your role also involves helping students find internship placements (APL), following up on their development, and collaborating with the labor market in Eskilstuna and surrounding areas. You will collaborate with other teachers based on the current curriculum, decided action plans, and the needs of the students.

With us, you will belong to the team for the Electrical and Energy Program where we have 4 vocational teachers and 2 teachers in common subjects. We currently have one class in each grade with about 25 students in each class. You will be responsible for the students in one class together with another mentor. We are a stable and secure group with a lot of experience working closely together. We are good at taking care of our students, and they achieve good results. We are proud that almost all students get a job after completing their studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a trained electrician and hold an electrical safety certificate; if you also have a vocational teacher's degree in electricity or are willing to train for it, that is a plus. You also have experience working as an electrician and a B driver's license. It is beneficial if you have experience working with young people from school, associations, or similar. Experience teaching at the upper secondary level based on the current curriculum is, of course, also good.

You are social and outgoing when you meet students and have an easy time making new contacts, creating good sustainable relationships, and always keeping the student's best interests in focus in your holistic perspective.
