The main task of the Culture and Leisure Committee is to promote cultural life and create conditions for a diverse sports and leisure activity. The culture and leisure activities in Mölndal have their common base in people's needs for context, meaning, and creativity. Culture and leisure are for everyone, with a focus on children and youth.
The Culture and Leisure Administration consists of two areas of operation; “Libraries, museums, and culture” and “Sports, leisure, and public health”. Additionally, there is a support unit that assists the operations in matters such as finance and communication.
The “Sports, leisure, and public health” area provides facilities for sports, exercise, and swimming and works to promote the health and well-being of Mölndal residents. This area also supports the voluntary association life with local subsidies and financial contributions and conducts activities aimed at, among others, youth and other residents of Mölndal. Within “Sports, leisure, and public health” there are units for “Sports and associations”, “Youth leisure”, “Public health and community work”, and the “Swimming facility” unit, each with its unit manager reporting to the operations manager for “Sports, leisure, and public health”.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You will work together with your colleagues in the Åbybadet workgroup to develop the operations in a fresh, new, and exciting swimming facility.
Your overall work aims to provide visitors with pleasant and safe swimming experiences. You will work with customer service and monitoring of pools, lifeguarding, and cleaning of dry and wet areas. Your tasks may also include work in the reception and café, which involves handling payments and some kitchen work.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a trained lifeguard or have an education that at least corresponds to the Swedish Lifeguard Society's pool lifeguard training and have previous experience working in a swimming hall.
You have a good ability to provide a natural and pleasant customer service. You have the ability to prevent conflicts and, when necessary, calmly and clearly address people.
