JOB DESCRIPTION

At the after-school center, you will be part of a team responsible for creating a safe and creative learning environment for the students. This involves assisting regular staff in leading the educational work at the after-school center. You support teaching to provide all students with the best possible social and personal development. Your role also includes creating environments that promote students' communication, curiosity, and activity in various areas.

As a substitute teacher in primary school, you will carry out pre-planned teaching for students in grades F-9. The teaching is based on the school's governing documents, and you will conduct the lessons to provide all students with the best possible social and personal development.

In primary school, you can also work as a school assistant, which means helping one or more students reach their academic goals, and in the role of child and youth assistant, you work to ensure that students in adapted primary schools have the best opportunity to develop based on their own conditions.

Collaboration with students, guardians, and colleagues is an important part of the work, and together with colleagues, you actively engage in the organization's mission and development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for individuals with various experiences and backgrounds who are drawn to working with people. If you have a pedagogical education, it is an advantage, but not a requirement. We also welcome those who may not have much experience yet but are engaged, responsible, and flexible individuals.

You are good at collaborating with others and can adapt your working methods to changing circumstances and provide support where needed in the organization. In your work, you are a reliable adult role model and enjoy being with children. You value diversity and welcome innovative thinking and creativity. You perform your work in a trustworthy manner and have the ability to understand someone else's perspective. We place great importance on personal suitability.

The Education and Labor Market department is one of the municipality's largest administrations with approximately 3,000 employees. Our operations are spread throughout the municipality, with about 35 primary schools, 87 preschools, 40 after-school centers, and four high schools. We work to ensure that children and young people have the tools they need to navigate both the present and the future. We strive for a holistic view and a coherent thread in development and learning from preschool through high school. A growing adult education program and a labor market unit focusing on those who need extra support are also part of the administration.
