Residents of Jämtland County in need of specialist psychiatric care receive their treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatric area at Östersund Hospital. The staff members of the units have a significant responsibility to develop and improve care in collaboration with the area's management. There are approximately 270 employees in the area.

At the Addiction Unit, we work with outpatient care for patients over 18 years old who need medical and psychosocial treatment for harmful use and addiction. Since many of our patients have comorbidity and successful treatment requires simultaneous intervention for mental health, collaboration is an important part of the work.

The unit is in an exciting time as the comorbidity investigation and its expected impact lie ahead of us. We are developing and working on continuous improvements linked to the national guidelines for addiction care with the aim of creating a clear care flow focused on the patient's best interests.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse at the Addiction Unit, you will work as a patient-responsible nurse, in close collaboration with a contact person and a medically responsible doctor for a number of patients. You will follow up on medication treatment, well-being, and drive collaboration with parties around the patient.

Since a large part of the operations is based on collaboration with other actors both internally in the organization and externally, this is an important part of the work. You will have a team of competent and engaged colleagues from different professions to assist you, where you can collaborate during treatment conferences and within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, have work experience, and are confident in your professional role.

Further education with a focus on psychiatry is an advantage, as is experience in psychiatric work/addiction care.

The position requires you to have a good ability to write, document, and compile information.

It is important that you have a genuine interest in addiction care and possess an empathetic ability. You who apply have good collaboration skills and enjoy working in a team but can also work independently and structure your work.

We place extra emphasis on personal suitability as a good approach is an extremely important key to successful treatment.
