JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you looking for a varied and stimulating job? Where you can contribute your knowledge and experience to make a difference for others? We are now looking for a social worker for a temporary position in the adult unit within the social services.

As a social worker in the adult unit, you will help create a meaningful work situation with a good working environment, where we value the balance between work and leisure.

Your main tasks are to support individuals towards self-sufficiency while assessing their entitlement to financial assistance. You will investigate, assess, and make decisions based on the Social Services Act, follow up on approved interventions, and be responsible for documentation in the case.

In addition to working with financial support, the unit also handles estate declarations, mediation funds, and contact persons.

You will work a lot independently, but you are not alone – you have strong support from your colleagues and close contact with your manager. We offer you mentorship, supervision, and continuous professional development, with the possibility to work some time from home.

We assume that those who come to us, with the right information and support, want and can find paths to self-sufficiency.

Internal and external collaboration is a prerequisite for being able to work with the whole for the individuals you meet. We have a close cooperation with the labor market unit, the Public Employment Service, the Social Insurance Agency, the health and care administration, and Region Jönköping County.

The position is a maternity leave replacement and runs from August 1, 2025, to October 1, 2026.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker or has other education that we consider equivalent.
• Driving license B.
• We place importance on personal qualities.
