IT Architect for IT Infrastructure at Trafikverket Responsibilities

Trafikverket is now looking for an experienced IT architect who wants to contribute to a modern, secure, and sustainable IT environment through a modern agile delivery. As an IT architect with us, you will work in a strategically important role where you influence the future IT landscape while leading the technical development together with teams in your area. You will be part of the IT Platforms department and the business management unit responsible for the governance and management of the department's technical deliveries. The unit consists of experienced infrastructure architects and delivery responsible Product Managers who together design and lead the development of Trafikverket's IT environment at both strategic and operational levels.  

In your role, you will lead and coordinate complex IT infrastructure deliveries together with other IT architects, and you may also be the responsible architect in one of our technology areas. You are also expected to contribute to our implementation of agile delivery through the SAFe framework based on your previous experiences.

The employment is classified in a security class. For employment, a satisfactory result in the security review is required, conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act (2018:585).

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, analytical, and has good collaboration skills. You have the ability to coach other technical roles while being able to see the big picture in complex IT environments and translate that into realistic delivery plans. You have a customer-oriented approach, which means you can understand and have the ability to realize the business needs into technical solutions.

We are looking for someone who has

• Several years of relevant and current experience in IT architecture and development of IT infrastructure in larger, complex organizations within the private or public sector
• Relevant experience working with modern IT platforms and IT infrastructure, both in local on-prem environments and via cloud-based solutions
• A university or college degree of at least 180 credits (120 ECTS) in the IT field, or you have several years of relevant work experience that we assess as equivalent to the educational requirement
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with security-related IT architecture
• Experience being responsible for and leading architectural work within Identity and Access Management
• Relevant experience leading other IT architects in complex initiatives involving several different technical product areas
• Experience working with the development of High Level Design (HLS) within IT infrastructure
• Experience working according to agile methods and frameworks, e.g., as a System Architect in the SAFe framework
