The Gothenburg Primary School Administration is one of the largest school administrations in Sweden. We are responsible for the city's municipal schools from preschool to grade nine, adapted primary school, culture school, and after-school care. The administration has 138 municipal primary schools where nearly 47,000 students attend school every day. The entire administration has about 9,700 employees who work together to develop and take care of the operations - together we pave the way for the school of the future.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Kärraskolan is a school for everyone - where joy and knowledge are at the center. The school is a K-9 school located in central Kärra. About 820 students aged 6-16 attend our school.

Our goal is for Kärraskolan to be a school where students, staff, and guardians thrive and share a common responsibility for creating good conditions for learning.

In your role as a special education teacher for grades 4-6, you will meet and work with both students and staff, contribute to assessments and investigations, and compile appropriate documentation.

You will assess students' strengths and needs, plan interventions, and suggest suitable strategies, methods, and tools. In your role as a special education teacher, you are an important resource in the work of follow-up, evaluation, and developing our routines and processes.

You will work systematically for improved goal fulfillment and have documentation responsibilities using the PMO system. Your role also includes contact with guardians and external actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a special education degree and a primary school teacher education. You are well acquainted with the school's governing documents and can work independently and in teams where you have a guiding role towards educators.

As a person, you have the ability to create good relationships with both children and adults. You recognize students' different needs and can also spread this knowledge within the team. You have solid knowledge and can easily translate it into practice.

By listening, showing interest, and respect, you work well with others. You are communicative and adapt your communication to the recipient and situation so that the message gets through. You are curious and encourage dialogue and questions, and you can see more than one possible solution.

The role also requires that you are confident and able to stand by your well-considered opinions towards students, guardians, and colleagues. You see obstacles, problems, and challenges as a natural part of everyday life that you solve individually or together with others.
