Description

At Munkegärdeskolan, all our approximately 420 students are at the center.

We work based on our vision words: curiosity, respect, care, responsibility, and understanding. We strive for a good working climate that stimulates students' motivation, responsibility, and desire to learn.

Our school is a 7-9 school with a staff group of about 42 personnel, of which approximately 30 are teachers. We have a complete student health team consisting of school management, special educator, counselor, school nurse, and school psychologist. The school's career counselor assists the student health team and guides students in their future choices. Our students should be given opportunities to develop their best selves and gain good knowledge to feel secure about the future. One of our focus areas is higher goal fulfillment, which we work on through clearer systematization and analysis for teaching based on scientific principles and proven experience. We systematically work to ensure that the working teams collaborate on mentorship, planning, assessment, evaluation, and analysis of results as our central components.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work and teach our wonderful students at Munkegärdeskolan 7-9. We are seeking a teacher in music and another subject, who has good knowledge in your subjects equally anchored in democratic values, student participation, and influence. We are looking for someone with great commitment, a positive attitude, and who enjoys engaging and listening to students, finding different solutions to individual student needs while also adapting to the group's possibilities and conditions. You have a cooperative working method with accessible teaching, digitalization, and language and knowledge-developing strategies. We live in a dynamic world, and we strive for flexibility and a solution-oriented approach. We work for a non-prestigious work culture where we help each other, and the goal is that every student leaving Munkegärdeskolan should have a solid foundation for continued learning and a good life.

Formative assessment, evaluation, and feedback to students are natural parts of your teaching. You are confident that students feel a high degree of participation and have real influence in your teaching. Through a conscious and cooperative approach, you create safety, trust, and good relationships among our students. You have a good awareness of how your actions affect your surroundings.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed teacher with qualifications for teaching music and another subject for grades 7-9.

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and values that permeate your daily work.

Furthermore, you have good learning and pedagogical ability and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a conducive learning environment for all our students throughout their school day. You are used to planning and engaging students in teaching to create participation. Based on evidence-based research, you are interested in developing your teaching and are proactive in the research and development work that the school has initiated and is working on.

You are someone who is good at collaborating and finding solutions but also takes significant personal responsibility. If you have just completed your teacher training, we offer guidance and mentorship from teachers at the school.
