At AGY Wendesgymnasiet, there are individual programs and automotive programs for the adapted upper secondary school. In the adapted upper secondary school, special educational interventions are required, focusing on each student's needs and conditions. Special competence regarding various disabilities is available among the school's staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a special teacher, you work with in-depth knowledge of intellectual disabilities, focusing on the individual level. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe and pedagogical learning environment that stimulates, strengthens, and challenges students' development and learning based on mutual respect and cooperation.
Teaching is designed in accordance with the adapted school's curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important cornerstones. You use special pedagogical methods and adapt teaching based on all students' conditions, with the student's best interests in focus. You work to eliminate barriers and difficulties in the learning environment by developing alternative learning environments and teaching tools. In the role, you exercise good situational leadership both inside and outside the classroom.
You contribute with expertise in the work with pedagogical investigations, adaptations, and action programs by conducting and documenting assessments, investigations, and various forms of pedagogical tests. Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect, trust, and a positive attitude. Issues regarding inclusion and values are a natural part of your daily work.
In a systematic way, you reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and together with others. Your tasks also include planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development. In your role, you keep yourself updated on events in the environment, youth culture, current research, and drive development work.
QUALIFICATIONS
In the first instance, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with permission to teach as a special teacher regarding special support in an adapted upper secondary school. Secondly, we welcome those with a teaching license authorized to teach in upper secondary school who are interested in studying the special teacher program with a focus on intellectual disabilities.
The assignment requires that you have experience of 3 years of well-documented work with teaching within the school system and experience of teaching at the secondary or upper secondary level. We prefer candidates who have previous experience working with students in adapted schools and preferably with students who have studied subjects in adapted primary school or students who have studied in a national program in adapted upper secondary school.
You are a secure and pedagogical leader with the ability to respond in a low-affect manner. We want you to be well acquainted with and live up to the ethical principles for teachers. You can exercise situationally adapted learning and leadership based on understanding students' situations and values and meeting them where they are. You create relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust and can engage, enthuse, stimulate, and strengthen students for development and learning.
At AGY Wendesgymnasiet, a good ability to implement the organization's mission regarding students in need of special support is required, as well as the ability to adapt working methods and approaches to different groups and individuals' conditions. You have good knowledge of alternative teaching tools and the ability to integrate these into teaching. Of course, you have the ability to use digital technology as a tool in your daily work.
You are also well acquainted with current pedagogical and didactic research. Naturally, you can document with good quality and also have the ability to plan and prioritize your working time. You, as a candidate, have a B driver's license and also need to be able to cycle.
For us to consider your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified licensed teachers, you who are unqualified can be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, you must present an extract from the police criminal record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
