About the Position

You will work as an occupational therapist in rehabilitation medicine, where you will be one of several professionals in an interdisciplinary team.

We offer specialized, team-based rehabilitation for adults of working age who, due to illness or injury, have significant difficulties participating in social life, family, leisure activities, and work. The overall goal of rehabilitation is to learn to live in a changed life situation and to function as well as possible in society. We work in teams with the patient at the center.

The team consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, speech therapists, doctors, medical secretaries, psychologists, rehabilitation assistants, rehabilitation coaches, nurses, and nursing assistants. It is the team, together with the patient and relatives, that shapes the goals for rehabilitation.

The Rehabilitation Clinic Halland is responsible for specialized rehabilitation medicine within inpatient and outpatient care at Halland Hospital. Our inpatient care is conducted in ward 51, and the most common diagnoses are stroke, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. The clinic also includes all paramedical staff at Halland Hospital Halmstad, Varberg, and Kungsbacka.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist with an interest in rehabilitation medicine or neurology. Professional experience in these areas is highly desirable. Previous experience in team-based rehabilitation is a plus, as well as clinical skills to meet individuals with significant and varying rehabilitation needs.

As a person, we seek someone who is confident in themselves and in their professional role. You are interested in development and think it is important to stay updated within the profession and rehabilitation medicine. You are calm and stable and have the ability to understand the patient's complex life situation. Since we work in teams, good collaboration skills and sharing your professional knowledge within the team are essential. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
