Oncology and Hematology Inpatient Ward A3

Ward A3 has ten beds for adult patients diagnosed with cancer across all specialties and malignant hematological diseases.

The palliative team is also part of our operations.

We are a well-functioning team with wonderfully engaged employees who work from a holistic perspective around the patient and their relatives. The team includes doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and social workers.

The staffing is optimized to work based on person-centered care.

Your Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant on the ward, you will work closely with patients and perform basic nursing care, medical technical tasks such as vital signs, blood tests, ECG, and manage wounds, stomas, drains, and catheters. There are experienced and engaged colleagues on the ward. Together, we are responsible for providing care and support characterized by commitment, knowledge, and compassion.

Chemotherapy treatment occurs on the ward, so you will need to obtain a chemotherapy license for nursing assistants. Over time, you will have specific areas of responsibility that you will be accountable for.

We use TakeCare for documentation and apply a fixed schedule where you work every other weekend.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone with a nursing assistant education and a few years of experience in acute care within inpatient care. It is valuable to us that you feel engaged in your profession and that you want to help develop the operations with us. Experience in palliative care is an advantage.

It is important that you are easy to collaborate with, but also good at working independently and taking your own initiatives. The work also requires that you are resilient to stress and can remain professional even in difficult situations, while also being able to instill trust in the patients we care for as well as their relatives. A strong empathetic ability is also an important trait for you.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Selection is ongoing during the application period.

Before a hiring decision is made, a background check will be conducted through an extract from the criminal record.
