The Department of Individual and Family Care works with various forms of support and services for residents. The department is now creating a new organization and is divided into four areas: Promotion and Prevention, Children and Youth, Adults, and Providers within Social Psychiatry and Disabilities. Within the area of Children and Youth, the units include reception for children and youth, the unit for children, and the unit for youth and family care.

The Youth Unit consists of two youth teams with a total of 16 social workers, two group leaders, and one unit manager.

Your role

We are now looking for a social worker with good analytical and empathetic skills who is interested in working with youth aged 13-20 and their families. You will belong to a unit consisting of 16 social workers, two school coordinators who receive support and leadership from two group leaders and one unit manager in daily operations.

Your tasks include assessing the need for support, deciding on interventions, and following up on outpatient interventions and placements according to SoL and LVU. You will also collaborate with schools, police, leisure activities, and other relevant actors around the young person to ensure their needs for protection and support are met.

Within the framework of outpatient interventions, you primarily use our own outpatient care but also the services of Framtid Stockholm. Your tasks also include motivating, exploring receptiveness, and creating high participation among the young person and their family.

The role includes regular and sometimes more urgent travel in connection with placements and follow-ups of youths' care in emergency homes, institutions, supportive housing, and treatment families.

Your qualifications and experience

You who are applying have:

  • A degree in social work and preferably previous experience in authority work with children and youth.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing.
  • Previous experience of working within BBIC.
  • Meriting if you have competence in SAVRY and ADAD.
  • Meriting if you are familiar with Signs of Safety.
  • Meriting with knowledge of RBM-Risk assessment and receptiveness.

We want you as a person to be independent, meticulous, and have a good ability to structure and plan your tasks. You also need to have a very good ability to collaborate and see the benefits of activating the family's network and other actors around the young person.

You need to be open to trying new working methods, and we would like you to be interested in helping to develop the organization's working methods. It is of great importance that you understand the mission of social services and what it means to work in a politically governed organization.

The City of Stockholm works with competency-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
